On Saturday, August 17, 2019 the LAJS is proud to team-up with the stellar orchestra and choir from the Los Angeles Korean-American Musician’s Association to present Harmony and Friendship at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
This performance will be a celebration of our shared humanity and the strength of community. The evening will culminate in a West Coast Premiere of Grammy Award-winning conductor/composer Lucas Richman’s newest piece “Symphony: This Will Be Our Reply.”
“Symphony: This Will Be Our Reply” was composed in honor of Leonard Bernstein’s centenary year and reflects his famed quote, “This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensly, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.”
