Zuill Bailey, cello
Lauded for his sumptuous tone and jaw-dropping technique, cellist Zuill Bailey opens the Bangor Symphony Orchestra’s 131st Season performing Michael Daugherty’s “Tales of Hemingway,” for which he received the Best Solo Performance Grammy Award in 2017. We begin the program with Peggy Stuart Coolidge’s suite, New England Autumn, inspired by life in New England and brought to life by rich orchestral imagery and resounding flair. Rounding out the program is the Second Symphony of the deeply emotionally disturbed composer Robert Schumann, written as part of self-care journey towards calm and inner peace.
This concert is currently part of a Subscription Package. Single tickets go on sale August 6, 2026.
