Opening with French composer Hector Berlioz’s overture to his comic opera Béatrice et Bénédict\, and moving to Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto\, a monument of such stature that every aspiring violinist studies it\, but to perform it take not only great skill but a level of endurance one can only ascribe to a marathon runner. Featuring rising star violinist Lun Li\, who’s appearance is made possible through a collaboration with Young Concert Artists\, Inc.\, The Symphony by César Franck is not often performed\, but is well worth a listen.
